Kelly Correll Brown
Biography

I was born in Santa Monica, CA in 1978. Raised in Los Angeles, I was exposed to the creative life early on through my family’s work in the motion picture industry. As entertainers and visual artists, they bred a love of the spectacular & magical in me. I was fortunate enough to have traveled all over the globe as a result of their work (and later on with my musical projects), which has also had a profound impact on my artist perspective.

I moved to Oakland, CA in 2001 with my husband, 2 cats, and 1 goldfish to test my luck in the Bay Area. I attended the California College of Arts & Crafts (now California College of the Arts) from 2002-2005 and received a BFA in Painting & Drawing with Highest Distinction. I tried my hand in the Bay Area underground music scene and have performed as a singer with Black Ice and keyboardist and singer with Red Voice Choir. I have been showing my work actively both in Northern and Southern California since 1999.
